2010 or 2011 Ford Mustang
Ford introduced the Mustang many years ago and it became the classic muscle car icon of the American car culture. The fresh Mustang inspired by the muscle style design from the 60’s, has brilliant acceleration and the 2011 model has a ultra-powerful V8. While we often think of muscle cars as not being the same as a sports car, it is important to remember that with advances in vehicle handling and electronics that a well built car with a sleek design can zip around turns at high speeds with the best of them.
Hyundai Genesis Coupe
The Hyundai Genesis sedan is the Korean carmaker’s version of a Lexus LS, but the Genesis Coupe is its version of the Mustang. It’s hard to believe that this rear-wheel drive two door, with turbocharged four-cylinder and naturally-aspirated V6 power is made by Hyundai, but that’s just just a sign of how much that sports car ownership has become possible for everyone. Like most models of Hyundai, these are plentiful on the road and in online auto auctions.
Mazda 3
Mazda has been making fun cars for years. Their Mazda 3 model was revamped in 2010 to have a much nicer interior and the even the souped up Sport model was under 20k new. These sport vehicles for everyone have found their way into many public actions. With 148hp and a 2 liter engine this car can preform like a much more powerful car, but with the vibration suppressing drive train of a Mazda.
BMW Z3, Roadster
BMW introduced the four-cylinder BMW Z3 series in 1996 after a long gap and the affordable two-seater had every aspect of modern design. The earlier models were under powered, but the 2000 version of the 2.8 Roadster was welcomed by the sports car lovers. Anti-lock brakes, anti-skid system and traction control were a few more features of the 2.8 Roadster. Though the roadster never sold very well (fewer than 5000 in the US in its entire run) these can be found in our auctions with some regularity, only needing someone to come along and fix them up.
Honda S2000
The car fulfills the speed and sports-car fantasies with 2.0 liter naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine that releases 237hp at 8300rpm. While Honda is not normally the first company to come to mind when thinking of sports cars and flashy cars. The Honda S2000 has a front engine and rear drive layout, disc brakes, close-ratio manual transmission and six gears. The car is a mix of killer looks, crisp shifting, an incredible braking ability and superior handling. When you are driving it you can forget it isn’t a Ferrari at half the cost
