A McLaren 570S Spider Finds New Life Through AutoBidMaster

A McLaren 570S Spider Finds New Life Through AutoBidMaster

Hey folks! I’m Rusty, AutoBidMaster’s Vehicle Auction Expert, and I’m taking over Under the Hood today to talk about a recent auction success story.

Every once in a while, a car rolls through our auction platform that turns heads, even virtually. This past June, a stunning 2019 McLaren 570S Spider was sold on AutoBidMaster, marking an unforgettable moment for both our team and the winning bidder.

A True British Supercar with a Story to Tell

Originally manufactured in the United Kingdom, the McLaren 570S Spider combines supercar performance with drop-top excitement. Beneath its sleek body lies a 3.8L twin-turbo V8, paired with a lightning-fast 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, all sending power to the rear wheels. With 562 horsepower at its disposal, this impressive car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.

What sets this particular McLaren apart, however, is its history.

The Road to Redemption

The 570S Spider bore the marks of a hard fall, with front-end damage severe enough for an insurance provider to deem it a total loss. On February 4, 2025, it was assessed with a repair cost of a staggering $183,589. Ultimately, the car was branded with a Florida Certificate of Destruction, signaling its journey into the salvage market.

Despite such a rough period for this classic, it caught the eye of one savvy AutoBidMaster member, who saw the potential for redemption

From the Auction Floor to a New Garage

On June 17, 2025, bidding opened and quickly closed on this luxury supercar, with a remarkable winning bid of $36,500. The next day, payment was completed, and on June 18, the McLaren was picked up from the Copart auction yard in Miami North, Florida. By June 25, it had arrived at its new home.

In less than ten days, this once-grounded spider was ready to be restored, cherished, or even transformed into something brand new.

A Life of Low Miles and High Potential

The extent of the damage to the front-end of the Spider.

With just 3,808 miles on the odometer and only two previous owners, this 570S Spider had been extremely well cared for before its unfortunate incident. Originally registered in Michigan, then Illinois, and finally Florida, its trail shows clear signs of personal use, rather than commercial abuse.

Despite being labeled “junk” and “not actual mileage” on the title, the car itself still holds enormous value, both in parts and potential.

Why This McLaren Matters

For many, a salvage title can signal the beginning of the end. For AutoBidMaster members, however, it can mark a new beginning. Whether for rebuild projects, exotic parts, or even unique art installations, cars like this McLaren live on in ways that surprise even us.

And for our winning bidder? They’ve gained access to one of McLaren’s most exhilarating machines at a fraction of the cost.
