Online salvage car auctions present a great opportunity for auto enthusiasts to buy an array of vehicles, ranging from dependable workhorses to hallmarks of luxury, all at unbelievably low prices. The journey to landing a bargain, however, can be confusing, especially for beginners. That is the reason why we will cover some frequently asked questions about online salvage vehicle auctions, which should clear some clouds around them. Read on.

Can I participate in salvage car auctions without a dealer’s license?

Though it is true that most auto auction sites require buyers to have a dealer’s license, that is not the case at AutoBidMaster, as our online auctions are open to all. To buy a salvage vehicle through our auctions, all you need to do is become a registered member, which you can do by either providing some basic info or by using your Facebook or Google account.

Which membership plan should I choose?

If you want to just try out an auction site, you can go for a basic membership that generally allows you to place your bid on one vehicle and may not include the right to place live bids. The basic membership generally involves a refundable security fee that is used to determine the member’s bidding power. If you want to place live bids, or bid on more than one vehicle, you’ll have to go for an Advanced or Premium membership

Can I get a vehicle shipped to an international location?

The answer to this depends upon the platform you choose. There are many auction websites that do not have the capability to accept international orders. That is another reason why AutoBidMaster is different. We not only welcome international bidders but also have a trusted shipping partner that can easily take care of all your international shipping and transportation worries.

What is the auction process?

Online salvage car auctions generally have two stages – preliminary bidding and live auction. As soon as a vehicle is received by an auctioneer, it is assigned a sale date and enters the preliminary bidding stage, after which any registered member can bid on it. In some cases, a “buy it now” option is also available. The live auction is held on the assigned sale date, and includes the bids of both preliminary and live bidders.
